Natural Reserve Los Tananeos is located in the north of Colombia, at the Andes mountain range “Serranía del Perijá”.

The threatened Tropical Dry Forest of the Reserve is home to over 200 birds, including endemic and vulnerable species. More than 8 kilometres of trails throughout the Reserve offer a unique opportunity to discover the great variety of avifauna that can be found in this region.

Targets in the Reserve include Brown Tinamu, Glaucous Tanager, Swallow Tanager, Golden-winged Sparrow, Military Macaw, Green-rumped Parrotlet, Lance-tailed Manakin, Scaled Piculet, Black-backed Antshrike, Rufous-breasted Wren, Pale-legged Hornero, Ruby-Topaz, Forest Elaenia.
