A group of 30 students from the ¨Universidad Popular del Cesar¨ visited the Reserve on Saturday the 7th of December. The group was accompanied by their professor of hydrology, and the objective of the visit was to recognize different ecosystems and to observe the behaviour of the river and river basins.
During four hours the group participated in a guided tour with the forest warden of the Reserve where they learned about different species that live here, the importance of the tropical dry forest and the vulnerability of this ecosystem.
We are delighted that the Reserve can also be a learning platform and that we can share our mission of conserving the local ecosystems with the teaching community.
